Sometimes the person reaching out isn't the homeowner — it's their son or daughter.

Yes. Many clients just want their current home decluttered and organized, with no move involved.
My parent is hesitant about this. How do you handle that?
Gently. A lot of the work is going at their pace, listening first, and never pressuring anyone to get rid of something before they are ready.
